CBSE Class 9 Subject-Wise Syllabus (2025-26)
Note on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Integration
The 2025-26 syllabus aligns with NEP 2020, transitioning from the 10+2 system to a 5+3+3+4 curricular structure. Key shifts include an emphasis on foundational literacy, numeracy, and the removal of rigid separations between academic, extra-curricular, and vocational streams. Assessment now focuses on core competencies rather than memorized facts.
The curriculum for the academic year 2025-26 is designed to foster logical reasoning, analytical skills, and practical application across all core and elective subjects.
1. Mathematics (Code: 041)
The Mathematics curriculum builds foundational numerical and geometric skills. In line with NEP 2020 goals to reduce the pressure of board exams, internal assessments now contribute significantly to the final evaluation, focusing on application-based learning.
