Apr 02, 2025The JEE Main 2025 examinations have been completed for both sessions. For the academic year 2025-26, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the exams in January and April 2025. Results, final answer keys, and scorecards are available on the official JEE Main website.
Key Exam Dates and Results
The examination followed a two-session format:
- Session 1 (January 2025):
- Exam Dates: Held from January 22 to January 31, 2025.
- Result Declaration: Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) results were released on February 11, 2025, and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) on February 23, 2025.
- Session 2 (April 2025):
- Exam Dates: Conducted between April 2 and April 9, 2025.
- Result Declaration: Paper 1 results were published on April 18, 2025, while Paper 2 results followed on May 23, 2025.
Important Changes in 2025
The 2025 exam cycle saw a return to the pre-pandemic pattern:
- Removal of Optional Questions: Section B no longer offered a choice; candidates had to answer all 5 numerical questions per subject (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
- Negative Marking: Mandatory negative marking was reintroduced for Section B (Numerical Value Questions).
- Question Distribution: Each subject contained 25 questions, totaling 75 questions for Paper 1.
